Your Galexivo public gallery is available at [your-slug].galexivo.com from the moment provisioning completes. To use your own domain (e.g. yourname.gallery or galerie-dupont.fr), follow this guide.

Prerequisites

  • A domain registered anywhere (Cloudflare Registrar, Namecheap, GoDaddy, Google Domains, etc.)
  • Access to your domain’s DNS settings
  • Your Cloudflare Pages project name (visible in Settings → Site in your Galexivo admin)

If your domain is managed on Cloudflare (either registered there or with Cloudflare as the DNS provider), setup is automatic.

  1. In your Galexivo admin, go to Settings → Custom domain.
  2. Enter your domain or subdomain (e.g. gallery.example.com).
  3. Click Add domain.
  4. Galexivo will automatically create a CNAME record in your Cloudflare DNS.
  5. SSL is provisioned automatically within a few minutes.

That is it. Your gallery will be live at your domain typically within 5 minutes.

Option 2: Domain on another registrar

If your domain is registered elsewhere and you want to keep it there:

  1. Log in to your domain registrar’s control panel.
  2. Add a CNAME record:
    • Name: @ (for root domain) or your subdomain (e.g. gallery)
    • Value: [your-slug].galexivo.com
    • TTL: 3600 (or “Auto”)
  3. In your Galexivo admin, go to Settings → Custom domain, enter your domain, and click Add domain.
  4. Galexivo will verify the DNS record. This can take up to 24 hours for DNS propagation, though it is usually faster.

Note on root domains: Some DNS providers do not support CNAME records on the root (@). In that case, use a subdomain (www) and set up a redirect from the root to www in your registrar’s settings.

SSL / HTTPS

SSL certificates are issued automatically via Cloudflare’s Universal SSL. You do not need to purchase or install a certificate. HTTPS will be active on your custom domain once DNS is verified.

If you see a certificate warning after adding your domain, wait a few minutes and refresh. If it persists after 30 minutes, contact support.

Multiple domains

You can add up to 3 custom domains to a single Galexivo instance. All domains serve the same public gallery. This is useful if you own multiple TLDs for your gallery name (e.g. .com and .co.uk).

Removing a domain

To remove a custom domain, go to Settings → Custom domain, find the domain, and click Remove. The domain will stop serving your gallery within a few minutes. Your [your-slug].galexivo.com address always remains active.
